Trying to decide whether to head south to Cape May NJ, up the bay into the C&D and then the northern Chesapeake or just head across the bight to Montauk. Tried buying the charts for the bay & northern Chesapeake this past weekend but all the local boating shops were sold out. We planning on heading out next Tuesday and return by Saturday/Sunday.
I'm curious to know timing between Cape May & the Chesapeake. Also any suggestions for anchorages and/or marinas available in the northern Chesapeake. We've crusied to Cape May previously, but haven't ventured beyond - is it worth it the trip?? Any particular points of interest we shold check out?
