I just got a bill from my dealer/mechanic/marina for 100-hr service. A nice $700+ bill already charged to my credit card. The problem is, I didn't request it, and neither did the engine need it. In fact, the engine was a good 50 hours away from the next 100-hr service. I haven't called him yet, but I intended to do so tomorrow. How do I deal with this? Up to now we have had a great relationship. In fact, I've even decided that when I trade up, I might most likely stay with the dealership, rather than the manufacturer, as they no longer sell the type of boat I bought from them less than a year ago. I need some ideas on how to deal with it. These guys are really polite and always seek to please the customer.
