A mechanic recently looked at my engine and told me my advance line must be pinched, cut, etc as it was not reading right at the gauge and running a little lean. He disconnected and capped the inlet. When I went to price a new line, my merc parts guy says that there is no vac adv on this motor ?
Engine is a Merc 165 ( newer 470 ) about 1989 or so with an alpha drive and a two bbl mercarb..
