I am installing a lower station VHF radio in my 34 Searay Sedan Bridge. I have researched a 2 radio switch module by Shakespear that both radios connect to via coax and only allows one radio to transmit at a time. My question is, what is the differance between RG58 and RG8 coaxial cable. I am assuming its the shielding capacity differance of the two? If so,which has more? My flybridge station uses RG58 and I have a roll of RG8 which I would like to use for the lower station up to the splitter module. Would this have any noticeable effect on the operation of either unit?

p.s if "Jim" reads this, I would love a copy of the manual for the Onan MCCK
