i know I have been asking some questions lately but only because I cannot get my butt out of the engine room- it has been crappy weather so I need indoor activities.
Anyway here it is.
The other day when I made a new gasket for my raw water strainer, when I turned motor on to check for leak I noticed the hose was vibrating some as was the strainer itself. So I started the other motor and the hose from pump to strainer was pretty darn silent as far as feeling vibration.
Both motors felt the same, nothing out of the ordinary that I could tell. I checked motor mounts, looked ok. My strainer on my port motor has a bit higher thru hull on it, maybe a few inches higher up then the starboard one, I was wondering if maybe this was effecting what I was feeling?
I have more questions concerning my port motor but will post later.
Think I am concerned over nothing? ya know how it is when ya see something different. Has anyone had this issue or heard of it?
