I have a Par Max 4 wash down pump for cleaning my anchor chain.

There are two red wires that connect to the bottom of the pump inside a little plastic box covered by a rubber boot. One of them has broken off. Is this repairable or do I have to replace the pump?

I have a feeling that this is where the pressure switch is located.

It is pretty hard to get to so I am asking before I pull it to see if I need to have a new one on hand.
 
I pulled the pump today and found that the spade connectors on the little plastic pressure switch had corroded off because the water inlets and outlets were not dogged down. I found enough of a bright piece of metal left over to put a hot wire there and the pump ran.

Went to WM and asked about a pressure switch from Jabsco. Jabsco is now Xylem out of China.

Good luck for getting a pressure switch from them I guess.
 
Doesn't look like the one I have. Mine is smaller.
 
Mine is a 166PSL4-4 50 psi. I can't find one on the Internet.

Using my PS card from WM I have ordered a whole new pump for a little over $100. I figured that if I found a new switch and paid shipping that it would cost enough that the totally new pump would be the way to go.

I have a perfectly good pump other than the pressure switch and am wondering if I could use it with an on/off switch like a water puppy??
