Hi all, Sure appreciate all the knowledge in this forum. I'm looking for some direction on what to check next. I have a 2001 indmar monsoon in my 2001 Malibu LSV. The boat started missing a bit..ever so lightly, that no one but myself noticed it. (I maintain all my own stuff. Jack of all trades, tool and die maker by profession.) The boat died one day. stone dead. chased it down to the ignition module. replaced it and we were back running but still not quite right. same miss/flutter. side note; starboard exhaust starting running hot as if it were plugged but would clear out if i raced the engine. Its raw water cooled. changed: plugs, wires, fuel filter, water pump impeller, no luck. still had a slight miss...kinda a flutter and starboard exhaust still too hot running with make a lake in the driveway. went to the lake, same problem, but also got a smell of fuel multiple times. tank was only 1/4 full. Pulled the risers and found water in port side exhaust manifold. replaced both gaskets and drained oil to found it milky as suspected. drained and added new oil and filter to flush it. Still didn't run smooth, drained oil expecting it to be watery from the flush, but better than before, and it wasnt... what's my next steps. I have a bad gasket somewhere but also wonder if this has something do to with my starboard side exhaust running hot And a bad gasket, but where? do these two issues relate? exhaust manifold gasket bad? intake? how do I check each to confirm which is bad and how do I check water flow to cool both sides equally? thanks sooo much for listening and your help.
