I have been polishing my current boat for 8 years. This year will be removing old wax and polish and Re applications of wax and polish.
Are there any new products or systems to use? Things change and sometimes I miss a new product.
thanks

I had Opticoat applied to my car. Its been 4 years and water still beads like it was just waxed. No additional application or maintenance. There is a DIY version. There are other similar ceramic products. I read where people had used it on boats, but I did not try it on mine before I sold the boat.

I've got mine ready to go as soon as it comes out of hibernation. It's called Ceramic Slam by Lithium. Spray & wipe.
Says it lasts 8 months, which is all I need for the boating season. Ask me in the fall whether it was worth it. :)

Last year I discovered a Meguier's spray on hybrid wax / ceramic product. I started using it on my vehicles. First time it takes two applications. First application spray on when car is wet, then dry car with polishing rags. Then wet car, spray wax on again, let sit a few minutes, then rinse off from top to bottom and dry with polishing rags. Lasted for 4 months, then all you have to do is the second spray on wet, rinse then dry.

I used this on my boat mid season and it was still shiny when I took it out in November. Saturday I am going to wash boat, buff out with cleaner / wax, then do the 2 coat ceramic hybrid spray wax thing. After that, next season, it will just be the spray wax thing. much easier on my old body.

I watched a video from meguiers on this recently and was wondering about boat application
