Just in time for a tropical storm, SASSIN' AROUND made it to Swansboro NC. We finally got underway last Sunday from Astor Florida and pulled into Swansboro yesterday afternoon. Finally got a chance to get online this morning.
My wife and her dad are driving back to Fl to try to get our boat trailer back up here so we can pull the boat before Alberto gets here.
We had a fairly uneventful and fun trip up the ICW. We had a false start when 2 miles from the ramp we ran into a very nasty thunderstorm and an overheating port exhaust manifold. The owner of Midway Marina found us a new set that night and delivered them the next morning, allowing us to stay at his dock with power for free.
We spent Sunday night in Jax, Monday in Brunswick, Tues & Wed in Beaufort, Thurs & Fri in CHarleston, Sat in Myrtle Beach and arived here yesterday.
I will provide more details after I can get my journal back from the Admiral and finished up.
