fired up the old beast again.. now hitting 20 on the vacuum gauge and very minor twitch in the needle..
got the RPMS to correct idle.. but im telling you the timing mark is not near 8*btdc.. and actually i got a bump in my RPMs and vacuum when i moved farther away from 8* btdc... but i guess thats normal?
was messing around with things and it seem to want to die the closer to 8* that i get it.. what gives? [:-banghead]
note i am not doing this with the boat in the water or in gear.. its sitting in my driveway with the drive pulled off.. wanted to make sure the engine was all good before putting drive back on etc..
anybody near highland park illinois wanna come over and set my timing for me [:-dunce]
or maybe i just need to be more patient.. [:-shake]
