I have a 03 5.0 mpi with closed cooling and B3.
The temp guage reads about 185F pretty much all the time. Even with new Impeller it stays right around 185, mabye creaping to 190 then it looks like the thermostat opens and drops to 180/185.
Anybody know what this engine should run at with closed cooling?
This seems a little high to me. Old boat was a 3.0 FWC and temps would stay around 160
I was wondering if CC runs a little hotter, like a car would. engine only has 90hrs and has been maintained.
