Cocktail Time - what sort of changes? I am excited because Lake Lanier has always been my favorite place.

Check out www.lakelanierislands.com The new owners are building some large rental lakehouses on the water behind Emerald Pointe as well as a complete room renovation. They will begin demolition on Pine Isle soon, which they plan to replace with a lodge style resort flagged as a Ritz or Four Seasons. A bunch of neat stuff there. Also, I'm not sure if it is public information but Lanier Harbor is in the process of a major transformation, I haven't seen the plans myself but I've heard it will be a perfect destination for food and drinks and much more boater friendly.

That is great. I am ready for the lake to have more and nicer amenities. It is ashame that there aren't more places to go eat or just hang out that are accessible by boat.
