Near the end of last season, I noticed water filling the bowl of my Jabsco manual head when no one used the toilet. I had to close the seacock because I was worried of flooding the head. What gasket or vlave do I need to replace? Thanks in advance!

Intake (clean water). When I close the seacock, the bowl does not fill.

The water still fills the bowl, even in the dry flush position...and no one flushing. I replaced the topper valve a few years back when I could not draw water into the toilet. I guess I'll replace it again. Thanks! Is there a reason why this valve keeps going bad? Does the pink winterizing stuff hurt it?

Because I work for Raritan Engineering, one of Jabsco's competitors, I try to make it a point not to knock the other guy's product (where possible), and unfairly try to make Raritan's stuff look like it is head and shoulders better than the competition's. I try to point out the differences and then let the reader make up his own mind.

Suffice it to say that the upper valve assembly on their manual head isn't the best design in the world...

You should run for office Vic.

Between your inherent diplomatic abilities displayed above and you'r intimate knowledge of fecal matters, you'd be a shoe in. :-)

Thanks for your help and your honesty! I ordered two gaskets, so I have a spare on hand....

Bill, I think I'd be better off running for the border...
