Took this yesterday, time lapse of a run up and down the Miami river. We turned around about a third of the way in, it is navigable all the way to th airport.

It s a Nice scenic run, cutting thru the high rise, the fishermen docks, restaurants, older homes, boat yards and freighters

Thanks for sharing. We never did that river it looks interesting. I have to wonder though. Once in a while I'd go under before the bridge was completely open. Normally I wait until they are. Is there any reg on that?
Was that time lapse with a gopro or was it sped up?

Some bridges ask you to wait till fully open, those on the river dont... the Miami river is interesting as it cuts thru the heart of Miami and each neighborhood or block is completely different.

Shot with a GoPro, in time lapse with the camera attached with suction cup (and safety string) outside the center section of the windshield. On th Lazzara the center glass pane on the front and side is electric so it makes it easy to mount outside and avoid refelction

That was sweet thanks for sharing. How long were you on the river?

That shoreline sure has changed a lot since the early 60's when I used to fish there. :)

that run which we do pretty often takes about 90' minutes or so. Beyond the point t turned around, there are more rsidential neigjborhoods and then industrial with shipping lines, yards, etc. very unique it's even more spectacular at night, I ll do another time lapse next time we do it at night.

The Miami skyline has exploded in the past 10/15 years and it's expanding even more now inland along the river and also to the north. What I love about it is that it is a skyline you can enjoy from the water, unlike other big cities. The water is deep enough for boats but too shallow for large ships etc like NY harbor. I ve anchored by the Statue of Liberty and even in a 70 footer it was dolly. Here in Miami we can anchor 1/2 mile off downtown within inwakes. Love it

Great video! We have been partially up the Miami River in our old Four Winns, but not as far up as this video shows. Very nice!
