Windlass installation on 1988 268 DA

I am planning on installing a windlass on my 268 DA this spring. I've seen pictures that suggest that some are installed on the anchor hatch door? Does anyone have any experience with this? Doesn't seem strong enough. Maybe if it is re-enforced underneath? Also any recommendations on what unit to install?

I installed mine on the hatch cover. My cover is, I think 3/16 alum. Not sure if that is original or not. I usually dont anchor in more then 2o ft of water, so its only pulling up 20ft of chain and 13lbs of anchor. Has worked for me for the past 6 yrs. The best thing I put on the boat. Well that and the XM radio.
