I am looking for recommendations for a window tinting company that will come out to my marina on the Sassafras and do my salon doors. Has anyone had any experience with a particular company?
 
Craig, where are you on the Sassy?? There are several people I know at Skipjack who had it done at the marina. If you are at Skipjack head over to "C" dock and look for Jack and Sandy on Slip Aweigh (34' Mainship, should be around C-10 or so) or "B" dock for Ken & Linda on "Incognito" (34' Pacemaker, should be around B-6 or so). They both had it done by the same guy. Nice job on both. Tell them Mike from FAHGEDABOUDIT sent you and said "Hi!"

Well then, that works out pretty convienently! Ken & Linda's Pacemaker is probably most like you boat and Ken can give you some great input on the type of tinting and the installation... his looks great and I know he's pleased with it. (I think they may have moved to C Dock). Your slip is up there with Alex & Dianne and the O'Rielly's. We were at C-5 for many years when we had the Carver then got booted to B-31 when we arrived with the Silverton so we have lots of friends at both docks and will probably stop by this Saturday afternoon to pay a visit. If we get a chance I'll wander up your way.
 
I have only been there a few weeks so I am still getting introduced to people. So far, I have not met any people whose names you mentioned earlier. I will be down this weekend.

We're new there too. On dock B (B3) and the first people we met were Ken and Linda. Great people who seem to know everyone! Skipjack Cove is quite a place. We are really enjoying it.

Actually, I'm looking for a good local canvas guy to make some modifications to the existing canvas.....anyone???? Thanks in advance.

Sassafras Canvas. Call Bud at 410-275-8103. He works out of his shop behind his house just a mile or so up 213 towards Cecilton. Like most canvas guys he can be tough to get to this time of year but he does great work and he's reasonably priced. I always had him do my shrinkwrap as well... nicer job and much less expensive than SJC charges.

Tell Ken & Linda that we said "Hi" and we'll probably stop by for a beer this weekend....
and, yes, they do know EVERYBODY!!! Well, everybody that drinks beer, anyway! ;)
 
Thanks Mike, I'll get in touch with Bud. Say Hi when you walk past ImpulseIII on the way to Ken and Linda's boat. If he does not have beer (and the sun stops coming up in the east), I can usually find one or two laying around......
