I have a 1986 30' weekender with twin 260hp mercruiser 350 inboards. They are fresh water cooled, raw water is thru perko sea strainers, 1-1/4 hose.I would like to run motors after haul out and never having done this I would like any offer of advice. Also fogging vs. not fogging and any motor oil preference, engines are carbs,630 hours on each.I am going to flush cooling system (heat exchanger) and add anti freeze .A lot to ask so far but so many conflicting "only" wayto do these winter chores at the marina I would love input from here.

Check Perko's web site....they make a temporary strainer top for flushing out your motors. You can also use a Camco outdrive winterizer to supply the pink to the strainer tops.
After flushing the motor with fresh water...and its up to opperating temp....connect your pink to the strainer top...run the motor.....and at the same time....squirt CRC fogging oil into the throat of the carb.....until it stalls.

Don't forget to get some pink into the 1 1/4 hose from the strainers to the seacock.....to cover any lows in the hose.
