Winterizing cockpit ice maker

What's the protocal for winterizing a cockpit ice maker? I've got my fresh water holding tank partially filled with the "pink stuff." Is it as simple as just turning the ice maker on until it starts putting out pink ice (or do other steps need to be taken here)? Thanks in advance.
