This has been going on for over a year now and seems to be limited to an area off the coast of southern Portugal. Apparently attacks have gone done recently which some researchers claim it had to do with a younger pod, possibly as revenge for one of theirs being hit by a boat…

Reminds me of that movie "Orca" with Richard Harris.

My guess is it is not so much revenge as it is defense. They equate boats as predators based on experience and they react accordingly.
