I'm in Normandy and this was the marina outside the restaurant I ate in. When I came out after dinner they were floating. It sure isnt 17 feet at low tide.

Are you sure that is not Stony Point Bay Marina at dead low tide???? You trying to fool us again Hank???

I think I see Hogan's boat in the back of the pile. This is my kind of trip. Paris to Normandy to home in under 48 hours. Will bei on the boat By the weekend.

I'm guessing they can't get out at low tide.

I can't imagine doing that to my boat twice a day. My guess is that they don't use their gennys at night.

What are those black rows that they are tied to?

Before dark?

This pad is going to drive me crazy!
I think it may only happen while I'm on board the boat my last two pots were from home and only posted once each.

With the days getting shorter, my chances of arriving before dark are diminishing quickly. At the airport heading back to NY. Two days of French food and I'm ready for a hot dog on the grill

Many harbors over there have locks which are closed to keep water in at low tide.

Yeah, we have it really easy here when it comes to boating! Plus no crazy taxes on boats (I think VAT on boat is 20%... At least...), no complex and costly licensing, and reasonable fuel prices.

If this thread was in the middle of the winter, it would have gone at leaks 10 pages with marina insults.
