I'm trying to remember a topic here...gee, it must have been 15 years ago or so, a story about a couple who had listed their boat for sale, was showcasing it to a couple under the guise that they were prospective buyers, when they were hijacked and forced to motor to some islands and were subsequently tied up and either shot and/or tossed overboard. The boat was later found I believe but I don't recall the outcome. Does anyone remember this?
This is one of those stories that pops into one's mind every now and then. ;)
 
same as Bruce. Seems like there has been a few similar ones so I tend to get them mixed up.
 
I seem to remember one story from the south pacific islands where a couple took on a extra hand for a trip. The couple were never seen again and the boat was found a few years later, repainted, renamed, and under the control of the deck hand they had hired.
 
at least the one I posted matched the criteria

another couple was buying the boat
went to sea with buying couple
killed and tossed overboard
