1841 Kitchen

Essentially done except for individual custom lockers and window seats, one broken cabinet coming in over stove, Dutch Door going to left of sink and moving in refrig's BUT I CAN FINALLY COOK

Phillip,
Looks great. I give you credit for doing this in your building. Its had to be difficult since its likely the original structure was far from level and plumb.

Nice work! Looks great. It is modernized yet still has a lot of character to it.

I admire your ability to visualise the changes

I had an architect that does a lot of work on old houses do the design. She was very good and reasonable. I was impressed with my construction guy as he steadily worked and sprinted to the finish (everybody tells me the two big hassles are starting and not showing up and never finishing the little details) I had to put in modern appliances (I can't tell you how nice a dishwasher and garbage disposal are) but if you look closely the doors are from the 1800's the wood casing on the doors and windows is old wood, the corners are made of wood not sharp drywall corners, the old style glass in the cabinets is an nice (and expensive) touch and the Corian sink is period style correct.

The two things I didn't go all out on where the super expensive appliances and the counters. I just couldn't justify either.
