Big Block 318 was a Torque Monster. Friend had two in a 35-footer and it was NICE. Only one I ever worked on was in a 1966 school bus. Again, torque! I hope you'll get what you need to keep them running well.
Are they Raw or Fresh Water Cooled? You'll need the appropriate diagram, and anybody here trying to help will need to know also.
Torque-wise, the small block 318 is the opposite. Won't get your pickup out of the hole. Might as well have a Slant Six.
