Hello,
My ac in my 1981 3007 aft cabin runs continiously, turn the breakers on for the water pump, salon and aft air and set the temp and it seems like it never shuts down, is there a thermostat or is it just on on/off thing???
Thanks,
Randy

I have a 1982 3007 aft cabin with 16000 BTU split system, 3 knob control. My ciculating fans in salon and 'V' berth and water pump run continously but the compressor cycles (until it can't keep up as the day heats up), is your compressor running continuously no matter where you set the thermostat? Or is your system set up like mine?

We have three dials on each of the AC units on our 3607. First dial goes from off to water pump to run. Second dial runs the fan speed. Third dial sets the temperature ranges from high heat to low heat and then from low cool to high cool, so this would be the thermostat.
The breakers are totally separate from the controls and only supply electrical power to each of the AC units but do not control the AC settings.

I have a 1982 3007 aft cabin. New to me last year. I don't have AC; don't need in my neck of the woods. Just wanted to say 'hi'. ;-)

Thank you, you are correct, my is like yours.
I can hear the compressor go on and off. The water pump and fan run continiously. It seems to be good. Thanks again.

moparmel, Concerning the AC, my only advise is to keep the filters changed on the air handlers and keep the water pump filter clean for good flow thru the condensor. This is important for our location to help the unit perform its best. The water temp the boat is in is about 80+ deg F during the summer season.
I hope you guys are enjoying your boat this season. Our boat is located off of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and so far our boating has been restricted by the boom effort to keep sensitive areas clean.
We hope this situation will be resolved soon.
