I have 1986 Formula with twin 5.7 Mercruiser.
The boat ran great when I put it up last winter now port engine stated but with popping and missing so changed coil, plugs, dist cap, rotor and wires and now I get no sparc at all. When I pull the coil wire on the good engine and stick a sparc plug into it then turn engine over the plug gaps a sparc, when I do the same on the port/bad engine I get nothing. I have already tried swapping the ignition module from
goo/starboard engine, no change. What is the ignition sensor? Any other ideas, this 4th weekend laying in the engine campartment instead of on the water.....
