We have just purchased this boat and can not figure out how the companion lights turn on. these are the small lights in the salon and stairs near the floor.
does anyone have the answer?
Usually you turn on the cockpit lights and a few of the companion lights will come on. Others may have a switch on them that need to be switched on AFTER you've switched on the cockpit lights. We have a couple near the transom that have switches on them, but work after the cockpit switch is on.
Check the bulbs.......maybe their burned out??? On my 370 there's a rocker switch by the salon door that turns them on......its in with a few other rocker switches....with no labeling.
It seems unlikely that we would have to go up to the flybridge, turn on the cockpit/bridge lights in order for the companion lighting in the salon to go on.
We are checking the bulbs, and perhaps some other switch will work them. Otherwise, we've found no separate switch. will keep you all posted. Thanks.
Companion lights are switched with thecockpit lights. Additionally, the flourescent above the range in the galley, and on my 340 'dancer, the flourescent above the head of the bed, switched seperately, is on the cockpit lights.
