I am planning on looking at a 46ft express cruiser, thats been on the market for a while. Boat is equipped with twin detroit disels.

Im not familiar with this model Searay. Anyone know anything about these models? Good? bad?

Is she named Reasons? If so, pretty boat.

Make sure you get the engines surveyed by a proper Detroit Diesel mechanic.

Probably one of the best boats searay ever made. Built like a Tank and it’s HUGE! Very good running boat. Like Jonathan said have the engines surveyed. Like any boat well built or not, if it was beat to death and not taken care of it’s a bad boat. If you need the boat surveyed both Tony Fazio (owns a SeaRay) and Al Prisco should be your choice

Im not sure what the name of the boat is to be honest with you. Survey is a no brainer, that goes without saying..

This must be a pretty rare model because I cant find a whole lot of information on them. The beam on the boat is MASSIVE, so she must be a nice riding boat in the ocean...

We have a friend who bought one off the East Coast with Cat's.
Nice boat, handles well, very nice boat. Lots of room.

The only reason I ask is because I had the oil survey numbers on it and they looked good. Damned if I can find them now. I'll check at home.

Keep in mind, rebuilds on Detroit Diesels are very expensive per hole these days. Parts are becoming much harder to come by.
