Finally, after nine months I am back on the water. When I bought this boat in October, 05, I thought 90 days max. Well here is my list of work. Rebuild 5.7 litre V8 with 260 horses on new engine stingers and Alpha 1 Drive, new bilge pumps, new VHF, New AM/FM/CD, new lowrance GPS and depth, detail entire boat. Lots of fiberglass work. My thanks to Latitude 27 Marine and Jeff in St. Petersburg, Florida. We did a shakedown cruise today and need to tighten up the gear shift linkage and the steering. Since I am the Mack Daddy Pimp of Tampa Bay, I am going to name my boat, with no input from the females, Red Tide. It has a red hull. On a more serious note. I love this forum. Sometimes it is for entertainment perposes only but I have really picked up a lot of good advice from here. My next project is to rip up the carpet and fiberglass the deck. Any body want to buy a boat? I will post pics soon.
