I have a terrible smell when we flush the vacu flush head. The holding tank is empty and deoderizer is in the tank.I have located the vent line from the holding tank and it dissapears from sight from where I can easily see it in the engine room. I can not get to it due to the port engine being in the way. I also find it leaving the boat above the engine room. No vent filter? Is it possible the boat is designed where I would have to dismantle the cockpit seating to gain access to a maintenance item? Anyone with the same boat know where it is?

It may not have one; filters weren't always a production item until just the last few years. If you have ready access to the vent line, anywhere along its exit route, it would be a fairly simple project to add a filter at the most convenient location.

The manual shows a filter on several schematics of the head system. Of course they are just general schematics with out actual location on this boat. I guess I will send my 11 year old around the port engine (when engine is cold) to see if he can find it.

No oem filter on the boat. Installed one in convienient replacable location. No more smell. No more unhappy neighbors.
