We recently sold our Crownline and have begun boat shopping. We have come across a 1994 Regal 9.8 Ventura that has all the bells and whistles we are looking for. While we would not be going up to much in years from our Crownline we would be gaining 7'in length and 3' in width.

The boat has the 7.4L engines with 600 hours.

Would appreciate any input you have on this model. We boat inland on the Mississippi River.

Thanks - James

James- I have a 1994 9.8 Ventura. The only difference is that I have v-drives. I've enjoyed it and I'm glad we have it. You'll find it very solid and easy to maneuver. The layout of your cabin, especially in the aft section, is different from mine, and that's the one thing I wish was different in my boat. I would prefer your set up. I think you'll have a little more living room than I have. But I prefer the function of the v-drives over stern drives.

Also, I don't really care for the layout of the forward berth. It's a very strange shape. Other than that, there's a lot to like about this boat. Have fun.

I also have a 1994 9.8 Ventura with V Drves.
Excellent boat very reliable and confortable.
I used every weekend
