Can the door rollers be replaced? I went up to the "new boat" and looked it over again. Seems the door rollers could be replaced. It isn't a real big deal as the door doesn't weigh that much. However, it would be nice to have it operate smoothly.
I was wondering if there are any issues and problems re: the under water exhaust. When backing down is there a risk of injesting water? Thanks.

I have a 98 330 350 mag mercruisers did my manifolds and risers last fall no way water can come back in. At least that I can see. The big propblem is mercruiser manifolds going bad hair line cracks etc. I was down that road with a 96 290da with a 454 had to rebuild top end of motor.$$$$
Mercruiser manifolds in my opinion should be replace every 5-6 years.

But I love me boat.

Hi,

Can some of the 330 owners (and previous owners)comment on cruising performace with 454 inboards, Speed/rpm/gph?

Also, most specs list draft as 2'1", is this correct and including the props?

Thanks,

Before this thread is completely hijacked - has anyone repaired or replaced the door wheels (trucks) (slides) or whatever they are? Thanks. JS

On my boat they had to replace the rollers - it is a 320. They had to raise the helm. Then the rollers are easy access.

Jim,

I don't know, but I believe you may be able to remove the port-side exterior panel that creates the exterior side of the "pocket" into which the door slides.

The reason I think this may be possible is because I recently did a minor gelcoat repair on the dash just forward of that piece. I noticed several caps over what appear to be screw holes (little push-in caps). I suspect if these are removed, there will be screws beneath. If so, removing them (top and bottom) along with the cup holder, and cutting the caulking may release them. You will also want to check inside the port locker next to the companion seat to see if there are any screws coming from that direction.

When I get back from traveling I'll check it, thanks. JS

Jim,

I looked at mine yesterday, but with the kids along for the day I didn't have time to poke around. There are two of those caps up top (over the bend) and two more at the bottom. I also suspect there are some screws from inside the port locker.

It looks like an over-panel as there is a drain channel at the bottom next to the deck wall.
