I'd like to pick-up a couple on the way to the boat. I have carbed 454s. Does anyone have some model names and model #s?
 
Mercury water seperating fuel filter part # 35-802893T.
 
There are five total if you have a genset. look up under the fuel tank selection levers and there is a set there as well as to stern on the port side of each engine.
 
Thanks, Bob, but no gene. I stopped by Napa this AM and picked up two Napa Gold models and installed them.
 
Bliss...... are Napa filters water separators also ??? Whats the cost per ??
 
DD, that is a good question. I don't recall the Napa box saying anything re water. Price about $10.00. On the Merc product where does the water go? In the past I had Racors with a glass bowl and petcock.
 
The Napa part# is 3225 (Am I allowed to mention Napa?) It filters down to 12 microns. The ads for M. say it filters to 25 microns. Napa makes no mention about water separation. Hum, maybe I ought to go back to Merc product.
 
Always used the Mercs on ours and I was not aware we had 2 additional ones (not counting the genny).

Anybody concerned about buying fuel filters that are not Merc, Crusader, Westerbeke, etc? I just got a service bulletin on my WB genny telling me to switch to a new part number for the filter. Seems last year's filter with its paper element is dissolved by e10. I wonder if Nappa, AutoZone and other places are selling the e10 proof (metal element) marine filters. Seems as though they should, yet I ended up with a paper element filter last fall that must be changed now, and that was a WB part.
