Had a problem last summer after the engine was warm, where I could not start the engine. No fuel was reaching the carb, so I changed the fuel pump. Did not fix the problem, so asked a local mechanic. He said put a priming bulb in the fuel line and prime it. I did it and it then started. Removed the priming bulb and did not have the problem again. Now this season over the holiday weekend, had the same problem. Engine was warm, no start, put in priming bulb. Starts right up. The next day, engine is warm, starts up fine but while idling at around 1100 RPMS, while pulling up the anchor (60 seconds) the engine dies. Can't start, so put in priming bulb and starts up. Next day, warm engine, starts up fine but while idling at around 1100 RPMS, while pulling up the anchor (60 seconds) the engine dies. Prime using bulb, engine starts and runs fine. Any thoughts. Never changed the plugs. Never done anything to any ignition parts. I know I should change the plugs, but does it point to anything specific.
