After 7 months of dreaming about my first trip to the Bahamas, I now find myself unable to sleep and sweating like a pig from anxiety. I am taking my wife and 3 kids over in mid-March.
I have read all there is to read, and have hired a captain to take just myself across in early March. Every book is filled with " it is amazingly beautiful, But"...it's the but that's got me concerned. I have done extensive boating in fresh water up North, but don't kid myself that it is the same. I have a 2004 Sea Ray 45' EB. My goal is to locate a quiet safe anchorage spot where we can dinghy to scenic beaches and
just relax away from the crowds. I don't know how well my family would handle a rolling boat but, I really do not want to stay in a Marina. I will be entering the Atlantic from the Ft. Piece Inlet, and I feel walker's should be clearing point, unless you suggest otherwise.
