i had my boat hulled for a bottom job, while out i decided to compound out the hull.

3m superduty then finesse it and finally a coat of collinite heavy duty paste wax

all of which was done with a dewalt buffer. the results are incredible. my question is on a 25 year old hull, is two coats of wax (collinite) really and better then one? would i be wasting my time? will the hull shine and longer?

IMHO One is probably fine as wax will only last a month or so then you should re apply. I use non-wax products such as Klasse or Meguiars and I find they shine the same but seem to last longer
