I've got an onboard two bank battery charger which I plug into a regular 20 amp outlet at my house. Do most docks that have power hook ups have a 20 amp outlet? If not what is the best and safest way to hook up to the 30 or 50 amp without adding a power breaker panel to my boat. I could make an adapter from 30 or 50 down to 20 amp, but that doesn't sound safe. The charger power cord would probably only be rated for 20 amps. It looks like 12 or 14 gage wire. Do they make an adapter with an inline 20 amp breaker protection? Any help would be appreciated.
