I am looking at a 2000 sea ray 410. I have read quite a bit about the balso cored hulls. Was this a problem for this year make boat?

Was it a problem for previous model 410 and if so, did sea ray make any adjustments for the 2000 model year?

if it's cored below waterline, i'd pass!

make sure things are accessible. a friend of mine has a 98/99 460 and servicing most things is a nightmare...

2000 410DA has solid bottom, cored hullsides, and cored decking. You may want to call Searay customer service with HIN and they will give you complete layup details. I don't believe there are systemic systemic wet core problems on these boats but you should take soundings and moisture reading particularly around deck hatches, portholes, and engine room vents.

As Pascal said, ER access is far from perfect as it is on most express boats of similar size. Getting to outboard side of the engines or the genny (tucked into stb aft corner) requires some contortions and I have battle scars to prove it. This is not unique to this boat.

On the flip side, at the risk of enticing "Are Searays any good" debate, my 2002 410DA with 3126 CATs has been reliable, efficient, and pleasure to run.

Happy to answer any specific questions. Just ask.
