I'm guessing Bowline. The weather was exceptional this weekend!

Rumor has it the place has been renamed Blowline.

As luck would have it we went away this weekend and we were back at the dock helping people get in. Lots of frazzled nerves but no serious injuries.

Coming back from Port Washington Monday morning the river was pretty wild and hearing the winds would continue to build during the day we opted to head in at dead low rather than deal with stronger winds later in the day. Seems we made the right choice for a change.

Gina took pictures of the break-up.

What great weather, with the exception of the gusty winds.

I hear there was another boat that hit the wall Sunday night in bowline. Had to have the sheriff as well as seatow there to assist. I guess there was some chatter on the radio between them. It is such a dangerous place and you cant always rely on the markers they put out there.

Hey Rommer, it was nice meeting you. You guys left Port Washington rather early... We left just after 12pm, the winds were ripping in the bay, however the sound was like glass.

Looks like you guys had a nice raft-up.

Spent Friday night playing a gig in Chester, NY. then got down to the boat around 5:00pm Sat. Had a great dock party and then headed out on Sunday for a night on the hook.

We were over at Croton from Sunday till Monday afternoon. Wind was out of the south so we were protected.

Bob, I Love how you did the boat name, was that an easy install?

Had a great weekend at roundout ,met Dan & Debbie from freedom , really nice boat and even nicer people hope to see them again this summer thank you for making us feel welcome aboard Freedom guys and the good stories too.

All & all a great trip up and back , when we got back to stony point sun. we hailed Hogan , and his crew invited us to bull line, we just got there passed afew raft-ups and saw HOGAN V when the phone rang with bad news from a friend who broke down south of piermont comming to meet us so we took off to tow him ( that was us hogan in the red wellcraft that circled behind you guys)rather than say hi, we just took off, looked like you guys were having a great time and am sorry we had to leave . Hope were invited next time . After we towed him to piernomt we were shot & went home rather than stay another night on the boat.
Also saw a huge stack of logs in front of bull line for a bonn fire we thought ? if it was it must have been huge and cool to watch hope all had a nice weekend ...... Jon.

Jon, I was trying to get my genny running when you cruised by, I didn't realize it was you until after you had left. Definitely stop by next time.

The pile of logs was for the Memorial Day watchfire, I believe they lit it at midnight on Monday and it burns until midnight on Tuesday. One year we were right there when they lit it, it was quite impressive.

Nice meeting you as well.

Yea, we where trying to beat the winds as I heard they were going to build all day and even the evening was supposed to be crummy wind-wise.

We had a good ride as well till we hit the river and things got a bit snotty.

We decided to head south in the east river and took a cruise around Manhattan Island, The rivers were like glass, including the Long Island Sound.

Jon, we saw you out there. Tried waving you in. I guess thats when you where on the phone. Your always welcome, just stop by.
The Veterans fire will be lit Thursday night just before midnight, It will burn for 24 hours in honor of the soilders that have never come home. They also due the flag burning cerimony for old flags during this. There are about 5 or 6 sites now that due it. One is piermont pier, bowline, hook mountain, verplank and a park in rampapo, cant remember the name of it.

Butch & Hogan ,
Yea I was just about to yell to you guys and ask which side you wanted me on but figured I better just take off rather than explain everything , I sure would like to see that bonn fire it looked huge, are you guys heading out to watch it? may be a little late for me on a workday night but have to see what the week looks like.
Oh yea Hogan I forgot to tell you Freedom says hi. starry night looks cool in the pics. all lit up nice job looks nice. Jon

Looks like a lot of fun was had by all.

The last 2 pictures are very scary thou!

looks like a fun time. I have 2 questions though!

1) What's with the cleat just off center of the transom on the Cruisers Yachts express??

2) What's with the shore power cord that looks like it's running from Hogan's boat to the silverton aft cabin or at least to the Cruisers Yachts express next to it??? did you all run out of ropes and opt for the shore power cord instead?? ;)

My genny wouldn't run, so I was plugged into the Cruiser.

"Dis is a weenter repair" or are you having a different issue with the genny Mike?
