I'm not sure how much interest we'll have, but continuing the discussion from another topic, is anyone interested in an informal get-together in Still Pond Creek the weekend of 7/30 or 8/6? I'm suggesting Still Pond so Mike can join us. However, if those of you further south think that's too far, we can change the location to someplace more central on the bay.
 
Bob, is that you typing or did you let Bosun have access to your BE account again?
 
Either date works for me! The St. Augustine suggesting is tempting as well. ;)

It's me. Bosun's hooves don't work very well on the keyboard. The St. Augustine bit was his idea though. :)

Kurt,

We would have joined you, but we will be out of town on both of your suggested dates. Don't change the date for us, but anything after about 22 Aug would work for us.

Kids welcome to this event? Reason being, we've already planned an overnight (Sat 7/30 - Sun 7/31) at Still Pond with my wife's Aunt and our two children (ages 8 & 12).

It doesn't look like we have that mush interest in anything formal. Perhaps we should just post here when we are going to Still Pond and meet up via dink when two or more of us are there?
 
Depending on the weather, if all goes well, I'll be enroute to the Bahamas on those particular dates.

But, if ALL goes well it'll be the first time this year. :D

So we do have some interest? Let's pick a weekend then, folks. Still Pond is about a 1.5 hour trip for us, so any weekend will work if the weather cooperates. 7/30? 8/6? 8/13?
 
We are not available 8/13. Either of the other two dates is fine with us. Besides, I need to finally hook-up with Kurt and discuss a part-time retirement gig doing voice-overs! ;)

I would love to make it, but am not sure if I can... One thing I have learned the hard way is that big boats have big fuel bills ($50 round trip to Ches. Inn, and that's only 5 miles each way)... Once the date is set, I will see what the 'ol pocket can do. If anyone is interested in meeting up in Chesapeake City, or Bohemia area, that I can definitely do...

I'm going to vote a 'no' for this coming weekend of 7/30. Heat index values are forecast to be around 105 on Saturday. That does not go well with anchoring in my book.
 
I agree with Kurt. A bit hot for anchoring out this weekend.
We'll be out this weekend, but probably just do a quick run. Maybe stop for lunch at Chesapeake Inn, and then zip back out to get the "created breeze" going again.
 
+2. If it's gonna be even close to last weekend's temperatures/index, the wife and kid's will stay home anyway. I'll be at the marina this weekend trying to figure out my GPS problem.
