2012 wishes

I wish that in 2012 someone would reopen and succeed at The Outrigger Marina, that the owner of The Boathouse in Locke would allow guest docking for easy access to Al the Wops, that fuel prices would drop, that Lost Isle would return to its infamous and fun past, that Herman & Helens could once again be a fun place to tie up to and have breakfast, that the wind wouldn't blow so hard in the spring, that every yahoo with enough money to buy a go fast boat would obey and understand why we have 5 mph zones, that the whole delta does not become one big 5 mph zone, that somehow I could find and fix the mysterious leak in my boat, that the water cops become a little more user friendly, that Flutterby keep us informed about water wars, that all the old and questionable levees hold for another year and finally that the fishing is better in 2012, that I can still afford a fine cigar while on the hook, and those pesky sandbars stop finding their way under my keel when I am not paying attention. Have a great year everyone

Wow! You guys sure do "wish" BIG!!! LOL

One wish will come true.....I will continue posting info about the water wars as it comes across my computer. If we have a draught year in 2012, it will get really bad!!!!

Pray for delta water to be allowed to flow.

The Outrigger situation has been a mystery to me for many years. I even took a half hearted look at buying it 10 years ago; you could put a great restaurant there and make it an overall very cool place in a good location. Not sure about making Al the Wop's place too easy to get to; you need to walk off some of that cholesterol.
