He sold his beacause he went real low. Especially considering that it was repowered a few years ago, canvass all replaced a year or two ago, and had a new A.C unit put in last year. I don't think you want to go as low as he did. I think he took too big a loss. But he really wanted to sell in this market.

Thats what Im seeing .......if you want to sell in his market..........your gunna take a beating.

I've turned down a few low offers........maybe I'll just wait out the market. I have time.

Look also at the 370 Express. You lose the aft cabin (which for me is nothing more than a nice place to store canvas) but you pick up straight drives and from what I hear, easier engine room access. I would say look at the Amberjack with a wider beam, but I don't think they went over 30' with that model. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

David, you're only wrong because of a technicality: SeaRay played with model names in the 2001 model year. The 330 Express Cruiser became the 340 Amberjack, with no change in the mold.

SRFool, speaking of Amberjacks, range and stability: I know of a mint 2001 340AJ with Cat 3126's, full electronics, bow thruster, maple interior and custom canvas. It's not listed on the market yet, but the owner is actively looking to trade up.

SLW,
Is there a way of contacting him? It would be nice to look at a picture or two. I assume the Cat's are a good power plant and drive system.
I'm not as familiar with the Amberjack's as I have focused mainly on Sundancers. But, you make a good point about the rear bunk.

Don, you going bigger?

No.....I'm at my property line limit now........

Time to downsize...........

SLW,
It sounds like a great boat. However, I think I'll keep searching. The wifey likes the back bunk as we have kids, etc. staying aboard occasionlly.
Thanks again. If I change my mind I'll shout.

No problem. I'm a Sundancer fan myself.

Don, I have a great 310 dancer for you

Had a 1991 310DA ......already !

Now maybe your 18' C/C ....may be nice !

Ill tell you what, I finally got that CC in the water on Sunday, and that is a fun little boat..I had a 17 whaler back in 91-95, and hated the way it handled, it pounded a lot. So I was hesitant in getting another CC..But when i saw the deep V this boat has, it was a no brainer..Ive never heard of an Anacapri before but what an AWESOME boat...

OK, maybe one last question.
It appears that the standard power plants for the 37 ft's are the 7.4 liters with v-drives. The 34'ft's use the same power plants. Given the difference in weight, 17,500 lbs. versus 12,000 lbs., is the only difference in performance just the time to get up on plane? Once on plane the fuel efficiency should about the same, correct?
Thanks

My 370 has the T/7.4's with " V " drives ......The 34' and 37' may use the same motor......but you have larger props and more planning surface on the 37'...... I have no problem getting up on plane............its no speedster........but comfortable dry ride. You will love it !

Thanks Double D. It's a sizeable decision and I wanted to make sure that going to a 37 wouldn't cost me much more to operate.

Understandable..............but the extra room is priceless !
