I am thinking about purchasing one of these and am trying to figure out what kind of fuel use they have MPG, what is a good cruise speed, and how long is the range at a comfortable cruise? any one with experience with this boat please share your knowledge.

I can attempt to help you with the 2765. I get about 1.25 to 1.5 mpg at a comfortable 3500 rpm. Anything less than 3000rpm, I drop off plane, and greater than 3500 just wastes gas. My only regrets with this boat is fuel capacity which is 78 gal. Figuring 10% unusable, that leaves only 70 gal; meaning roughly 80 miles tops. AND, that's with perfect conditions.

Everything else regarding the boat, I love. Have added: Bennett ATC, Raymarine Autopilot, Navman GPS w/ fuel monitors, Lewmar windlass, Centriod fuel sender, and several others I can't remember right now.

Ask any questions, and I'll help.

Hopefully I will post the links to the the Regal proformance specs this evening. Should give you a good idea.

I have the 2660 with a single 7.4. I find running just over 3,000 also to be the sweet spot and at that RPM's runs high 20's to 30 MPH on GPS. As Steve mentioned 3,000 or under I drop off plan unless I have the tabs really dig in then I can lower RPMs. In that range I burn roughly 10-12 GPH depending on conditions.

I have a 2005 2765 with twin 4.3s. Best cruise numbers I have found are 3000rpm, 28 kts and about 13.5gph total. I have some other numbers but they are on the boat and I do not have access to them right now. Incidently, mine is for sale. I bought a larger boat when I moved to the ocean recently, if you are interested send me a message, It has a 120hrs and a Westerbeke genset and a trailer.

I have a 2002 2860 with twin 4.3's and duoprops. I use it exclusively in the ocean, so cannot often go like a bat out of hell, due to the normal 2-4 foot swells I boat in.
My running rpm is usually 2800-3300 rpm. At the 2700-3000 RPM,I get 1.1 mpg running about 15-22 knots (much more trim tab use to stay on plane when near 2700); at 3000-3300, I get 1.2-1.3 mpg, running about 24-26knts (according to the GPS).
Hope this helps!
Robert.

I have a 2005 2765 with twin 4.3 bravo 3's and love it! It has the MPI stuff on it and couldn't be happier. Fuel consumption is really acceptable for me cus I go wide open a lot of times.
