I purchased a 87 four winns 17 bowrider with a 1 yr old 3.0 gm 4 cyl engine. I noticed a small amount of fresh water coming from a spot near the rear of the push rod cover, I was figuring a gasket leak, but I thought that there was supposed to be oil behind that cover? The water that is coming out slowly is not oily at all and I havent checked the oil in the engine yet for any sign of water. Any thoughts? Im hoping that it is just a gasket, but dont know whats behind there.
