I have a problem, I need to run a blower hose under and around my gas tank.
1989 Supra Mariah-- an inboard ski boat.
Originally, there was a custom plastic thing attached to the transom that acted as the blower hose in this area. Unfortunately, taking out the gas tank busted it up, and it is NLA. And I don't think I could get the gas tank back in with it in place anyway.
The length of the "smooshed" run is probably aboaut four inches.
So I am in the position of running something in its place. I considered just using regular blower hose, but I am not sure how well it would stand up to being smooshed. Although boat fix does appear to sell some better hose that might be stronger. I was also not sure how the "grooves" in normal vent hose would behave-- I am somewhat afraid that if smooshed the grooves would negatively impact airflow. I was also told to look at using aluminum dryer vent line. Although I am not sure how good an idea this may really be.
The line runs under the gas tank. Removing the gas tank is a serious pain, so I would like something that lasts a long time.
Thanks
Jared
