I have the exact floor measurements for the salon and aft cabin (with cut outs for floor openings) if anyone needs them. I will be replacing the carpeting this season. Does anyone know what I will find when I remove the carpeting on the floor? I expect it to be marine plywood. Does anyone know the name of the wood flooring in the galley? I'd love to use that instead of carpeting if I knew where to find it.

under carpet in the salon on my 86' 3207 is 3/4" plywood

The wood in the galley is parquet flooring.

Next year I am planning on replacing the carpet. Currently I have my hands full with exterior projects and I dont think the admiral would aprove another project

The galley flooring is teak parquet, and the only place I've ever seen it is from Carver. Sad news is, they don't carry it any longer as they haven't used it since the early 1990's.

If it is teak parquet, then I think I can go to a specialty wood home store to find out where I can get it. Parquet flooring is still out there although it might look different than the galley.

Thanks guys,

I looked at doing it once and you can come close enough with a match. What is the condition of your galley floor? Hopefully it has been treated with teal oil over the years. Post pictures of before, durring and after. Good luck!

Ya, I put the teal oil on once a year now. Not sure what happened before my ownership, but the floor is great. The floor opening in the middle of the floor has loose wood parts which I keep gluing, but other than that it is great.
