Is the new 3360 a new name for the 3260?
Are there any basic differences?

Hi Arnold,

I believe the new 3360 is also known as the Windows Express... meaning it's an entirely different look. I think it's the same hull, but a new topside deck..

PleasureTime has a new one.. maybe he can post some pics for you...

Personally, we still like the 3260... but PT's is a very nice vessel.
Regards,

DogDaze is completely correct for a change. just kidding, but he is correct. the windows express is a relatively new model '05, maybe. typically women tend to like the cabin area better because it does not feel like a dungeon, lots of light. whether or not the exterior is to your liking is a matter of personal opinion. but i looked at that boat before buying my 3560 and thought the interior layout was fantastic.

I’m not that familiar with the 3260. The 3360 is set up a lot like the 3560, about 10 inches narrower and 3 ft. shorter. The wife loves the cabin area, wood flooring with storage locker, screen entry way, etc. but is learning to cope with the smaller fridge (which I like better), the smaller microwave, smaller head and less storage in general. In the cockpit, I really like the swivel helm seat and am learning to cope with a smaller cockpit in general. All in all we're very happy with the 3360, the performance, the ride and the styling. Pictures to be posted in another post.

I used to have a 322 which is basically the earlier name for the 3260. The 322 and the 3260 didn't change much at all. The 3360 is same hull with much nicer layout and as DogDaze said, windows on the topside.

Hi Arnold:

I have the 3260 and have been on the 3360, I'll give you the pros I noticed on each in case you are considering buying used (they are subtle):

3360:

1) Chartplotter placement a huge improvement on 3260;
2) Hardwood floors are a nice touch - really finish off the boat;
3) Cockpit area has two options and more versatile;
4) More natural light in cabin;
5) Cabin entrance has a screen door;

3260:

1) Huge aft cabin - I haven't seen another boat in this category with an aft cabin this large - It takes the king Size memory foam mattress from Costco nicely;
2) Extremely wide steps up through the windshield to the bow which I personally appreciate when it is rough;
3) Huge Swim Platform - 3360 May be the same (not sure);

I like them both so depends upon what type of boating you do ...

Her are some pics:

A couple of 3260s:

3260 Swim Platform and you can see that the cabin entrance is to the side so that the steps up to the windshield are a good 2 feet wide - Chartplotter placement is not good at all:

Only have this one picture ... PT and Charlie T will be able to provide these.

Here is the comparable pic of a 3260 on a trailer ... its the pic that made me fall in love with the boat ...

In summary - love them both.

Nice Pictures Vaughn,

I knew PleasureTime and a few of you 322/3260 owners could help assist. :) Personally, I'm hooked on the 3260 and wish they still made it, but as noted, the 3360 is the replacement and it's also a beautiful boat. It just takes me a while to get used to the change I guess. :)

I hope you all have a fun and safe 4th of July.. even if you live in Canada!!!

Vaughn,
Thanks for the great info.
One more question: any problems with the Volvo Pentas in salt water?

Hi Arnold:

I am in fresh water so would not have any experience with that question. I'd launch a separate question on that one - there are many other boaters in salt water.

My 3360 is equiped with the Ocean Series VP 5,7 OSXi XDP option which includes the Neutra-Salt Engine Flushing System. I think this makes a great set up for salt water use, that's what it's designed for. Even though I boat in fresh water, the dealer orders most boats out this way. If it ever goes to Florida it'll be ready for the water anyway.

From what I can tell from seeing the 322, 3260, and our 3360, the differences seem to be in the upper deck layout.

Here's a few pics of our 3360 with the Extended Cockpit seating configuration. This is different than the standard Semi-circle layout.

Because of the windows, you also get a different look to the bow ...

I'll post some more pics of the inside, but here's a couple of the galley and salon for now.

This is our second "Window Express" boat and we like the look. It does have a very nice, airy, open feel to it downstairs. I will say that with the blinds up in the windows, it can get hot down below. We mainly leave our blinds down unless we're showing the boat. Basically, it's a matter of preference as the performance isn't affected.

We have had our new 2007 3360 for just 2 weeks and love the boat. We especially like all the natural light that comes in from the additional windows and is the main reason why we choose it.

Still learning all the systems and have many questions. Pictures to coming soon.

I'm so happy I found the new owners forum, I was quite annoyed when the other site went down.

Eric,

Where you in Davis Park this weekend? I saw a 3360 dock on Sunday prior to the storms and I thought it may have been you. Great looking boat!

Yes Gary that was us at Davis Park on Sunday. Was that your Regal Sedan further down? If so I pointed it at to the admiral (wife), realy nice boat. We bugged out when the storms died down.

Eric, yes it was. I pulled out around the same time. We will be there this weekend, stop by if you get a chance.

Gary

Hi Gary, We are going to try for Friday and Saturday. If your there we will stop by. We were there today and the weather was fantastic.
