I emptied my waste holding tank yesterday and when I got back it was full and noone used it . Is there a valve to shut? or does my shower waste water go into holding tank. Any help appreciated. Glen

If you have a macerator, and the impeller is bad seawater will back flow into your holding tank, close your seacock.

I took my macerator out today, had a broken impeller, jambed the unit and allowed water to back fill the tank.

The macerator on my 34 C is fine but if I run with the seacock to the overboard discharge open , it will backfill.

That never happened on my 34c,when the impleer was good, as stated in a previous post my macerator works fine to pump out with the damaged impeller but no longer seals.

moneman1, Your shower should run into a shower sump. It's a square plastic sealed box with a pump in it. You may want to open the top and flush it and check the float switch. Sounds like you may not have done this for awhile.
