Hello All;
We are considering adding a Raymarine digital sounder and transducer to our 06 3560. Has anyone had any experience with an installation in this or any other model? Have you been pleased with the result?
I am guessing that the best spot to install will be close to the genset strainer, however since this is a through hull, we certainly want to be sure. We kind of like to keep the shiny side of the boat up....if you know what we mean!

I have the Raymarine sounder installed factory on my '04 3560 and I am happy with it. The temperature probe is a nice feature giving water temperature for swimming. As far as install goes I can't say much except I think you are correct that the transducer is on the starboard side of centre and near the genny strainer.

We have a Raymarine DSM300 with low profile bronze thru-hull depth only transducer installed on our '05 3560. The transducer is installed in the compartment that has the seacock for the heater/air conditioner, accessible through the hatch at the rear of the main salon. The bilge that has the genset seacock is also a good location, and we have a forward sonar transducer installed there. The sounder module is installed in the dash directly behind the chartplotter and wired to an accessory switch on the side switch panel. The depth sounder works fine, off and on plane. In hindsight, the temperature option on the transducer would have been a nice feature to add.
