OK, I know this sounds stupid as we've owned this boat over six years and should know this.
Does anyone know where the light switch to the 110/vlt. lights under the aft cabin bed is located?

Mine is a 87 3607 I don't have ac lights there but the dc light switch is at the foot of the bed.

Are you 100% sure they are 120VAC & not 12VDC ?

If he can't find the switch, what makes you think he knows if it's 12 VDC or 110 AC.

I'm on my 4th boat. None have had any 110 volt switches including a Carver 3807 (big brother to the 3607)

Thanks all for the comments, yes I'm sure they are 110V. These are not the little 12V night lights that go around the base of the bed, I've replaced that switch already.
These are 75 Watt light bulbs located under the bed at the aft end one on starboard and one on port with a wire cage protecting them the same as you would find on a trouble lamp.
They are wired 110V and look factory installed.
I've tried to trace the wiring from under the bed as this wiring along with the hot water tanks wiring both lead toward the port side where my wife's little vanity is locate and feeds the 110 plug-ins there and continues on to the head where there are more 110 plug-ins along with another 110 fluorescent light fixture over the sink basin.
I did not take the boat apart to trace each separate wire circuit to it's source but the wire routing all follows the same path and, yes JimPend,I could not find any switch to these lights.
I'm a little suprised that other 3607's out there do not have these lights installed as I'm certain they are a factory instalation.

Jim, very easy! Just put wet finger in bulb socket....that'll tell you quite quickly.

Bob J, first you have to find the switch to energize the circuit thus not a viable(or very smart) method of determining voltage.
I'm honestly lost as to this switch's location, not voltage. There's a lot of 3607's out there, surely mine is not the only one with this lighting option?

I'm not being a smart a**, but on my SR the only 110 volt switches are on the electrical panel. Just a suggestion.

dancerscap,I hear you and the only 110V "switches" I know of on my boat are also located in the electrical panel also with the all 110 appliances and lighting wired to that panel controlled by those switches built into the specific appliance or light fixture with the exception of the lights I have brought up in this topic.
I guess I have an oddball 3607 as it certainly does contain some 110 lighting and apparently the only one with the 110 lights under the aft cabin bed, but again thank you all for your coments.

Update to original post;
Well I've just learned the story on those two lights located under my bed in the aft cabin.
These were a Carver option and were designed for freeze protection, came with 200W light bulbs and were controlled by the engine room heater's thermostat. So when the heaters came on so would the two lights under the bed.
There was not a "light switch" as they were only activated by the engine room thermostat, mystery solved.
This must have been a fairly rare option as so many other Caver owners out there had never heard of such a thing.

What year is your boat? I have never heard of that. I have actually never heard of any Carver having engine room heaters from the factory either. I have brochures with options lists all the way back to 73.

370 Motoryacht, the boat is a 1985 3607 and it has what appear to be factory installed heaters in the engine room, one over each engine and one over the generator with a thermostatic control for these located center aft of the engines in the engine room.
In addition there are also heaters installed in the aft cabin head and under the stairwell leading down to the galley, these are individually controlled by thermostats located on the heaters themselves.
I have the original paperwork, manuals, etc. that came with the boat as originally purchased so I have no doubt the boat came equipped with the heaters but don't know if they were factory or dealer installed as some of the documentation I have does refer to the dealer.
I do however know of a 1986 model equipped identical to mine which seems to support that it was a Carver option whether factory installed or dealer.
