3607

See the sticky "useful Carver info" just above this thread.

3607:

36 = legth of moulded hull

0 = Aft Cabin design

7 = Fiberglass hull and superstructure. (cored hull sides, solid glass below water line)

ending in 6 = fully cored hull (to keel)

ending in 5 = Fiberglass(fully cored) hull and wood superstructure

thanks Kenny that's what I was looking for. I've looked in the Carver info and never seen the break down. thanks again.

Thanks for that info. I have a 3807, but had no idea what,if anything, that meant, other than 38'.

Another way of looking at it is that all aft cabins of that vintage end in "07", like the 3007, 3207, 3607... Carver never made an aft cabin until the "7" series boats came out, which is a good thing because of that damn balsa core that us old-timers are stuck with. As a result, you'll never see an "06" designation...

8 signified a major or total change to a model line, ie, the 3607...at 36 x 12'6" turned into the 3608 at 36 x 13'11". Also there was a MAJOR design change as well

32= Length Of Hull

2 = Convertible

7 = Fiberglass hull and superstructure. (cored hull sides, solid glass below water line)

as far as the core sides go I installed a new overboard fitting and didn't see any it was all glass. I was about 2' down from the rub rail the only core I've found is in my deck.

So how does a 93 Carver 350 fit into this scheme? or does it?

35 - length of hull
0 - aft cabin

...??? nothing else to designate hull construction ... fiberglass, cored ...etc.

Yep, you're exactly right. When I went and pulled up the specs for the 93 350 ...the spec sheet had it notated as a 3307.
